Residential Fencing

Residential gates and fences are used for a variety of reasons; dividing and securing properties, achieving privacy, providing personal protection for children, and ensuring community protection for pet owners. Common residential fencing selections consist of chain link fencing -ideal for pets, ornamental fencing -primarily used for visual appeal, and wood fencing -most popular for privacy and protecting children. These systems are most beneficial to homeowners who value lasting-protection at an economical price and easy maintenance on select styles. Perfect Gates and Fences can assure strength and durability in producing and installing their products regardless of its end-purpose.

The most common style of privacy wood fencing is the solid board style which can be used for the purpose of controlling noise, establishing visual barriers or marking boundaries. Wood fences that are five feet and higher are usually used to contain pets and children. For decorative purposes, Lattice – webbed fencing- can also be used as a 12 to 14 inch topper showing above the solid boards.

This style of fencing is also known as board on board fencing which creates an excellent frame for gardens. Boards are placed and spaced out on either side of the fence rail providing blocked vision, yet still allowing airflow to flow through the fence.

Usually used as a decorative piece for the tops of solid boards, Lattice can also be used as a full-lattice fence panel.  This is helpful in screening an area, while providing limited vision through the fence. The open design of the lattice system is excellent for controlling wind flow by diluting gusts of wind into gentle breezes.

Post and rail wood fencing consists of round, square, board, or split rails attached to posts, in which the posts and rails are usually the same style to keep a consistent and uniformed look. These types of fences are excellent for perimeter fencing of large, open areas of land as it provides the least obstructed view and allows efficient holding of livestock.  Post and rail fences use the least amount of wood and are very flexible and adaptable as rails can be cut in different lengths to accommodate any unusual or difficult land plots.  Home owners who enjoy a simple, rustic or rural look would take pleasure in a post and rail fence.  Decorative applications such as painting or topping the posts also help to make it personal and unique.
